This morning was the day to bid farewell to LDC. All the modules and the sledge have been put into pole position for the convoi to depart for the 32 km ride to Dome C. We have sealed all doors of the tents. The last box with the Radix tent required special attention until the inflatable tent would settle into the box for the journey to Bern. At 10 am all vehicles and personnel were ready: The convoi consisted of a PB100, a PB300 plus fuel tank and one module, and the Caterpillar plus two modules and the cargo sledge. We could benefit from a stable, hardened road and at 1.30 pm we were welcomed by the colleagues of Concordia Station.

This concludes the daily SitReps from LDC. We thank all our readers for their interest in our work of the 2019/2020 season following the EU H2020 Project BeyondEPICA: Oldest Ice, and the Swiss project Radix. Please stay tuned when in December 2020 the deep drilling operation of BeyondEPICA: Oldest Ice will start.
