Today while part of the team continued assembling the corer, the other concentrated on the logging table and scientific trench.

What we did today at LDC:

  • we did some adjustments on the horizontal saw;
  • we re-calibrated the DEP, which is now operational;
  • we make some fine tuning on the logging table, in order to have it perfectly aligned;
  • we unload the cargo that had been transported from Concordia to LDC yesterday;
  • we tidied up the workshop;
  • we build some steps for make an easier access to the drill tower;
  • we tested the drill motor section through the cable, and prepared a new connector to link the antitorque section;
  • we removed the faulty part from the mast's piston support, and began to repair it;
  • we started wiring a communication cable between the recreation tent and the science trench.
