Despite a few minor problems, we're continuing to work on the drilling shift.

At the same time, the closure of the camp continues, and we have started to tidy up the scientific trench. Having completed the final tests on the 300-meter corer on the F2G platform, we have also started to put this equipment away.

This morning we also sent the last 29 ice core boxes to Concordia. These will be stored in the balloon cave and then loaded onto a cold flight to MZS on January 19.

As processing has finished, we are also continuing to reduce the number of people in camp, with Rémi Dallmayr leaving for Concordia.

What we did today at LDC:

  • drilling in shift;
  • continued packing the science trench;
  • continued packing the camp;
  • started packing the Grenoble shallow drill;
  • dug a snow pit for Dieter from BAS.

End of day statistics at 19h30:
