Weather at LDC 1 pm: sunny and windy; no more weather data

We made a long filtering run tonight. Then after this run, we continued to drill in shifts.

At the same time, the closure of the camp continues, and we have prepared the scientific trench for the winter. We finished loading the sledge for the traverse to Concordia tomorrow.

What we did today at LDC:

  • drilling in shift;
  • finished closing the science trench;
  • continued packing down camp.

  • Driller’s depth: 1795.44 m;
  • we made 7 drilling runs between yesterday 19h30 and 19h30 today. The length of the cores was: 4.44, 4.36, 3.74, 3.93, 2.93, 4.48 and 4.5 (driller length), for a total of 28.38 meters.
  • Logger’s depth: 1794.75 m.
  • Current processing depth: 1695 m; daily total: 0 m; season total: 1367 m.
