Drilling comes good

An excellent day’s drilling with a total of a little over 34 m of core in eleven runs of the drill. Finally, we seem to have a good configuration of the drill, and of course the drilling team themselves are doing a fine job! There is a palpable sense of relief in the camp after the struggles of the last week.

End of day statistics:

Individual runs of the drill were recorded as: 2.70, 2.71, 2.80, 3.06, 2.97, 3.48, 3.31, 3.09, 3.40, 3.25, 3.12 m

  • Drillers’ depth: 438.44 m; daily total 34.34 m
  • Loggers’ depth: 443.16 m; daily total 34.38 m
